These are the Healthy Patties described in Dr. Billinghurst's second book "Grow Your Pups With Bones". The amounts shown below make about 20 pounds of patties.

Start with 8-10 pounds of fresh vegetables and fruit. We usually use broccoli, carrots (including the tops), cabbage, chard, turnips, zucchini, parsley and apples. All of this is processed in a juicer to break it down so it can be digested by the dogs. |

This is what the veggies look like after they've gone through the juicer. There's also some of the juice mixed in. (We don't use all of the juice because this makes the patties kind of watery. We usually juice the the veggies with a lower water content first (parsley, carrot tops, chard, some of the carrots and broccoli) and use all of that juice. Then juice the rest of the carrots and broccoli and save this juice as a healthy drink for the humans (add a little salt and a dash of tabasco). Then juice the rest of the veggies and use just some of that juice to get the right consistency to the patties. |

Now we add 20000mg of Ester-C, 600mg of B-complex, 600mg of Zinc, 1 tablespoon of kelp and 1 tablespoon of alfalfa. |

Next, add 10 eggs, 32oz. yogurt, and 1/2 cup of flax seed oil. |

Now the ground meat. Here we've used 6 pounds of ground beef, 2 pounds of ground turkey and 1 1/2 pounds of chicken livers. |

Mix this all together and this is what the patty mix looks like. |
